This project serves as a poetic witness to the changing nature of her family's home, documenting the enduring spirit of a culture and a landscape that the tourist gaze routinely renders invisible.
Εξερευνώντας το μεταβαλλόμενο τοπίο της Κρήτης, αυτή η έρευνα πλέκει ένα ηχητικό κολάζ από ηχογραφήσεις πεδίου και έναν οικείο διάλογο μεταξύ της Κατερίνας και της μητέρας της, καθώς περιηγούνται σε ένα οικογενειακό φωτογραφικό αρχείο. Ανιχνεύοντας τη μετάβαση από μια ζωή συλλογικής συγκομιδής και χειροκίνητης άρδευσης σε μια ζωή εφήμερης κατανάλωσης, το έργο εξετάζει πώς τα τοπικά έθιμα και το τοπίο απαλείφονται σταδιακά. Explorando a paisagem em transformação de Creta, esta investigação entrelaça uma colagem sonora de gravações de campo com um diálogo íntimo entre Katerina e a sua mãe, enquanto ambas percorrem um arquivo fotográfico familiar. Ao traçar a transição de uma vida de colheitas comunitárias e irrigação manual para uma de consumo efémero, o trabalho examina a forma como os costumes locais e a paisagem estão a ser suavemente apagados. Este projeto funciona como uma testemunha poética da mudança na casa da sua família, documentando o espírito persistente de uma cultura e de uma paisagem que o olhar turístico tende a tornar invisíveis.
