Distances (mycoessay) is a collaborative, still-growing interspecies effort to explore the grief in the space between technical images and the subjects they are intended to represent. Together, human and golden oyster mushroom examine identity, loss, and programmed logics of abstraction in hopes of making sense of the world and a precarious future.
